Creative direction and brand identity for Days, purveyor of award-winning coffee and soon-to-open café and grocer. In her recent collaboration with Days (find them at daysgrocer.com or @daysdays), Creative Director Aja Marie Johnson led the creative direction and brand identity for this bold new café and grocer, which also launched a line of award-winning coffee capsules. Her design approach for DAYS captured the gentle rhythm of a “slower day”—the warmth of local sourcing, the clarity of everyday ritual, the quiet joy of a good cup of espresso.
Aja’s work on the packaging for DAYS’ coffee capsules is especially striking: she translated the brand’s ethos of “Better days, better coffee” into a visual system that is both minimal and generous. Her design balances bold simplicity with the nuance of sustainability, sourcing and craft.
Her involvement in this project underlines her skill in guiding emerging consumer-brands from concept through to shelf: defining tone of voice, refining structural packaging details, and ensuring every touchpoint is aligned. For DAYS, Aja created more than packaging—she helped create a world worth inhabiting.
