Emirati Heritage Rigid Box Collection | Shabouk (شعبوق)

This Emirati Heritage rigid box collection was created by Shabouk (شعبوق), a UAE-based manufacturer of luxury packaging for dates, chocolates, perfumes and VIP gifts serving clients across the UAE and the wider GCC.

The project started from a very simple question: how can a gifting box feel like a small piece of the Emirates that you can carry home or present to a guest? Instead of abstract patterns or generic “desert” graphics, Shabouk decided to build the collection around three strong, authentic icons of Emirati culture – the camel, the falcon and the woman in traditional dress – and treat each box as a framed portrait with its own story.

In the first box, a camel stands in the sand draped in an ornate, embroidered covering, with jewellery details that echo the richness of UAE hospitality. Behind it, a vertical band of Sadu-inspired geometric patterns runs along the spine of the box. Warm desert tones and the shadow of a palm tree are used to create depth and atmosphere. This piece is designed for premium dates, chocolates and confectionery, but the structure can also hold smaller VIP gifts or souvenirs for hotels and tourism brands in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other Emirates.

The second box focuses on architecture and falconry. A pale sand-coloured fort becomes the backdrop, with a falco
