This gin is a distillation of courage and creativity. A bold blend of 11 ingredients, it pays tribute to the spirit of 1921—when Istria stood up for freedom and justice. It isn’t a revival of some long-lost family recipe. It’s a modern creation, born from a passion to tell stories differently—through scent, taste, and feeling. A tribute not only to history, but to art, rebellion, and the joy of living. At its core lies a desire to transform memory into experience, and place into ritual. This gin is our canvas, our stage, our voice. The Labin Republic was a bold workers’ uprising that took place in 1921 in Labin, Istria. In protest against exploitation and rising fascism, local coal miners took control of the mines, declaring self-management and forming one of Europe’s first anti-fascist movements. For over a month, under the motto “Kova je naša” (“The mine is ours”), they governed with unity, resilience, and courage.
