This project presents a custom-engineered packaging solution developed to protect a technical component with complex geometry during transport.
The challenge was to ensure stability while reducing material usage and replacing traditional foam-based solutions with a more sustainable alternative.
The design uses a honeycomb cardboard structure with precisely defined cut-outs that securely position the component and prevent movement. The geometry of the structure allows efficient load distribution and impact absorption without adding unnecessary material.
By working with a mono-material solution, the packaging is fully recyclable while maintaining high structural performance. The result is a lightweight, efficient, and easy-to-handle packaging system.
This project highlights how engineering-driven packaging can replace conventional materials, reduce environmental impact, and improve overall efficiency.
