FINE PAPER TAKEO CHINESE RED PACKET

This packaging project’s challenge is to redesign Fine Paper Takeo Chinese Red Packet series.

CONCEPT OVERVIEW

Chinese New Year is more than just a meal, it is a sacred moment of reunion and collective gratitude. This project is a Chinese New Year red packet gift set inspired by the traditional “Five Blessings on the Table.” Each dish on the festive table carries a blessing, wishing the family prosperity, health, joy, and harmony for the year ahead.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

By using five different colors and designs, each red packet represents the unique harmony of a specific dish, its blessing, and one of the Five Elements. In Chinese culture, the balance of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth is essential to maintaining life’s energy and prosperity. The collection highlights these traditions through five symbolic dishes: Braised Pork Belly for Wealth, Steamed Whole Fish for Longevity, White-Cut Whole Chicken for Harmony, Garlic Prawns for Happiness, and Abalone with Flower Mushrooms and Broccoli for Growth. Together, these elements and colors form a complete “circle of good fortune,” transforming the reunion table into a meaningful visual celebration of a balanced and flourishing life.
