Indulgence in every sip
For Velomont premium drinking chocolate, we designed a packaging system that mirrors the richness and expressiveness of the drink itself. This is cocoa with presence. Indulgent, confident, and unapologetically bold. The range features four distinct flavors: Classic, Bitter, Hazelnut and Sugar Free — each made with over 35% cocoa.
To ensure instant recognition on shelf, each flavor is defined by a strong, singular color: red, blue, green, and purple. Clear, striking, and impossible to overlook. At the core of this visual language is the key illustration: a mug filled to the brim with hot cocoa. Every cup is uniquely decorated, from funky graphic patterns to floral motifs and clean stripes, celebrating self-expression. The idea is simple and universal: we’re all different, yet we share the same love for a comforting cup of cocoa. Velomont becomes the ritual that brings those personalities together.
Bold, handmade-style typography completes the system, adding a crafted, tactile quality to the brand — premium, yet warm and approachable. The expressive letterforms echo the comfort of the drink and reinforce Velomont’s artisanal character. The result is a packaging system that feels cohesive yet playful, refined yet personal — a brand that doesn’t just sit on the shelf, but invites you in.
Curator’s Insight
What makes this system particularly sharp is the decision to let color do the heavy lifting for differentiation while keeping every other design element consistent across SKUs. The mug illustration functions almost like a character slot — same vessel, different decoration — which quietly reinforces the brand’s personality-driven narrative without fragmenting the range visually. On shelf as a wall of product, the four-color grid reads as a unified family before individual variants register, a hierarchy that tends to work harder at retail than flavor-first systems. The slab-serif wordmark, split across two lines in a stacked lockup, also adds vertical mass that holds its own against the illustration without competing with it.
