Centurio Premium Playing Cards

This premium deck of playing cards is inspired by the centuries-long history of the Roman Empire, translating ancient grandeur into a highly refined, collectible product. Each suit represents a distinct faction closely tied to the world of Ancient Rome: Diamonds symbolize the wealth of Carthage, Hearts represent the discipline of Rome itself, Spades are dedicated to the fierce Gladiators, and Clubs embody the Germanic tribes.

To achieve a monumental yet precise aesthetic, all illustrations and design elements were created entirely by hand. The character illustrations emphasize functional design, with careful attention paid to the utility, historical logic, and clean readability of the armor, weaponry, and costuming. By utilizing meticulous vector artwork, the complex linework retains absolute crispness, whether scaled for individual poker cards or expanded for broader promotional materials.

The project extends beyond character illustration into comprehensive packaging design. The intricate tuck box serves as the centerpiece of the brand, utilizing bespoke typography and custom pips to elevate the premium feel. Every asset was systematically developed to merge classical historical themes with modern, high-end commercial packaging standards, resulting in a striking, cohesive identity.
