Fratelli Forlano is a wine project born in Cerignola, Puglia, created by two young brothers determined to reinterpret local winemaking culture through a contemporary perspective. Developed by Holy Studio, the project encompassed brand strategy, brand architecture, visual identity and label design, building a cohesive system that balances heritage and modernity.

The challenge was to create a brand capable of honoring the rich cultural legacy of Puglia without relying on the traditional visual codes that dominate the category. Instead of nostalgia, the project sought relevance. Instead of repetition, reinterpretation.

The identity draws inspiration from the history, folklore and symbolic characters of Cerignola, transforming regional references into a contemporary visual language. Sophisticated typography, expressive color palettes and carefully crafted illustrations create a premium yet approachable presence, designed to resonate with both established wine enthusiasts and a younger generation discovering the region’s wines.

The first collection introduces three labels: Neroconte, Rosaduca and Deacere. Each wine is inspired by a local figure or narrative, translated through distinctive visual storytelling that celebrates the territory while avoiding clichés. The result is a brand system that feels rooted, authentic and culturally meaningful, while remaining fresh and relevant in today’s wine market.

Fratelli Forlano demonstrates how regional identity can evolve without losing its essence, creating a new visual language for Puglian wines and inviting consumers to experience the stories, people and traditions behind every bottle.
