Aljamil Tea — A Visual Dialogue Between Heritage and Modernity

The Aljamil Tea packaging project was born from a desire to redefine the premium tea experience through a sophisticated, editorial-inspired design language. The core challenge was to create a cohesive identity that feels both timeless and visually striking in a crowded marketplace.

The design concept focuses on a “Portrait-Led Narrative,” using stylized halftone illustrations of iconic cultural and historical figures. Rather than a literal representation, these characters serve as a visual homage to the diverse global cultures where tea is celebrated as a ritual. This artistic approach transforms each SKU into a collectible piece of art, encouraging the consumer to look beyond the product itself.

The visual system is anchored by a strong horizontal division: a minimalist upper section dedicated to the portrait and brand identity, contrasted with a bold, color-coded lower section for product variant information. A central gold-foiled seal acts as a premium signature across the entire range, ensuring brand consistency and shelf distinction.

By combining textured paper effects, matte finishing, and a refined typographic hierarchy, the packaging system creates a tactile and premium feel. The result is a design that balances heritage-inspired storytelling with a clean, contemporary aesthetic—positioning Aljamil Tea as a sophisticated choice for the modern connoisseur.
