The story begins with a bird that refuses to stay within the frame.

Aviary was created around a simple idea: what if the packaging itself could become part of the story?

At the center of the label, a bird rests within a carefully composed botanical scene. Its dark silhouette remains inside the boundaries of the main label, surrounded by branches, berries, and flowers. But above it, a second bird appears in full color lifting beyond the edge of the label and escaping the frame.

This separation is intentional.

The bird inside represents where we begin: the familiar, the expected, the boundaries that quietly define us. The bird rising above represents the moment something changes—the decision to move forward, to let go, and to become something beyond what once held us in place.

That idea became the heart of the identity:

The physical construction of the label reinforces the narrative. Rather than keeping every element contained within one conventional shape, the upper bird extends beyond the main label as a separate layered element. It creates a subtle tactile dimension and, more importantly, turns the act of breaking the frame into something physical.

From a distance, the packaging feels refined and restrained. Up close, the unexpected construction reveals the story.

The botanical illustration creates a contrast between stillness and movement. The branch anchors the composition, while the birds introduce direction and freedom. Natural greens, warm berries, soft cream paper, deep matte black, and understated gold typography build a sophisticated palette that allows the blue bird to become the visual moment of transformation.

The matte black bottle was intentionally kept minimal so the label could command attention. Gold detailing brings warmth and heritage to the identity, while the soft, natural illustration gives Aviary a more emotional and human character.

The result is packaging designed not simply to decorate a bottle, but to communicate an idea through form, layering, illustration, and movement.

Aviary is a story about the quiet space between being held and breaking free.
