What is this product about?
Breezy is an interactive breathing and music-learning game designed to make breathing exercises engaging for children. It combines breath-controlled digital gameplay with flute learning and hands-on origami activities, encouraging children to move between screen-based play and physical creativity. The experience is built around the idea of making breathing feel less like an exercise and more like play.
What is the concept behind the packaging design?
The packaging is designed as a “Breezy World” that connects the physical and digital experiences. Rather than functioning as a conventional container, the box transforms when opened. Its interior uses pop-up and layered elements to bring the illustrated world into three dimensions, making the characters and landscape feel physically present. The inclusion of origami sheets extends this idea by encouraging children to fold, create and experiment with their hands, ensuring that the experience is not entirely screen-based.
Solution
We designed a green mailer-style box with an organized interior for the flute, breathing system, electronic controller and origami sheets. The inner lid transforms into a 3D illustrated landscape, using raised and layered cardboard elements such as trees, butterflies, rocks, flowers and characters. These dimensional elements create a sense of discovery during unboxing while visually connecting the physical packaging to the digital game. The origami sheets provide a simple hands-on activity that complements the digital gameplay and encourages creativity away from the screen.
The technique used to design the packaging
- Structural Design: A mailer-box structure with integrated compartments organizes the different components. The inner lid uses layered cardboard, cut-outs and pop-up construction to create a three-dimensional scene.
- Print & Finish: Bright greens and blues, along with illustrated nature elements and friendly characters, establish a playful visual language that is consistent with the Breezy game.
- Interactive Integration: The packaging combines 3D pop-up elements and origami to create physical interaction beyond simply opening the box.
What is unique about your packaging design?
The packaging’s key feature is its ability to bring the digital game world into the physical space. Instead of leaving the illustrations as flat graphics, the pop-up landscape gives them physical depth and makes the unboxing itself part of the experience. The origami sheets then give children another way to interact, create and think without relying on a screen.
The results
The final packaging turns unboxing into the first stage of the Breezy experience. It combines product storage with a tactile, three-dimensional play environment and hands-on making activity.
By connecting the physical world, breathing interaction and digital gameplay, the packaging reinforces Breezy’s central idea:
Breathe Easy with Breezy.
