The Brand:

EL Haranya Factory (For handmade carpets)

Handmade carpets, the piece is not repeated again because it is made from memory and

not from a picture, with natural colors and natural dyeing to represent the Egyptian culture,

and this gives the carpet different sizes according to the design

Concept:

Structural Design → Visual Design

The packaging design is inspired by the original and unique El Haranya carpets, representing their authenticity, craftsmanship, and connection to Egyptian culture.

Each carpet is handmade from memory, making every piece unique and non-repetitive. The original carpet designs are recreated using AI tools and transformed into adaptable visuals that can be printed directly on the packaging or used as stickers.

The concept has two dimensions:

1. Exclusive Phase

  • On-demand production using a digital printing process.
  • The selected carpet design is printed directly on the outside of the box.
  • Each box features a unique carpet design, reflecting the one-of-a-kind nature of the handmade carpets.
  1. Mass Production Phase
  • Mass production through conventional printing.
  • For example, 1,000 boxes can be produced with a designated area for a sticker.
  • A sticker shaped according to the selected carpet design is placed in the designated area, allowing each package to maintain its own unique identity.

The Advantage and Disadvantages:

Disadvantages of the old packaging:

  1.  Poor packaging
  2.  No visual identity for the place on the packaging
  3.  No distinctive design that emphasizes the idea that the carpet is handmade and unique

Advantages of the new packaging:

  1.  Strong packaging
  2.  Highlighting the visual identity of the place on the packaging
  3.  Distinctive design that emphasizes the idea that the carpet is handmade and unique
  4.  Giving the product the value and quality it deserves
  5.  Producing rug-shaped packaging to emphasize its authenticity
