Gez Mourvedre

GEZ MOURVÈDRE is a wine made from the Mourvèdre grape, known as one of the most heat-loving varieties in the world. Since this series was developed individually and linked to a specific person’s identity, it was important to find a metaphor connecting that person’s lifestyle with the wine’s intriguing characteristics. A tan!

The thing is, the grapes used to make this kind of wine literally love to get “sunburned.” Much like people who are a bit too fond of the sun and frequently end up with that telltale slightly scorched nose—the one a sun hat couldn’t quite hide. That leaves a mark. The wine turns virtually black, becoming tannic, bold, and incredibly intense. But first, the grapes have to get a good, thorough sunburn.
