Loka Loca, a local brand that celebrates Malaysian culture through products inspired by local stories and traditions. From food, snacks to utensils and accessories, every item is designed to honour and share the richness of Malaysian culture.

PRODUCT

Tiffin carriers, or tingkat mangkuk, are iconic stackable meal containers once commonly seen in kopitiams, symbolizing community and shared meals. Inspired by this, Tingkat Kopitiam is born. Each layer of this 2-layered packaging carries a piece of kopitiam’s true essence that couldn’t be replicated – the bond of community and the raw unfiltered everyday experience, which is expressed in a old school, sketchy style illustrations.

The illustrations on the top layer portrays scenes of the kopitiam from ordering kopi, to making kopi and finally serving it. The bottom one showcases everyday scenes inside and outside of a kopitiam, from ordering food from hawker stalls, eating and chit-chating with friends.
