1+1

The premium design of the 1+1 limited edition apple cider bottle is based on a deep metaphor of temptation and original sin.

A snake of a noble golden hue wraps around the bottle, accentuating the symbol of the forbidden fruit on the drink.

Curator’s Insight

The challenge with a premium cider is that the category rarely looks the part, so the design has to borrow the visual language of sparkling wine without losing the apple. Here the two are separated cleanly. The bottle keeps its champagne-style cork and wire cage in black glass, while the die-cut label is shaped like an apple, so the fruit is identified by silhouette rather than illustration. That frees the typography to stay restrained: a serif “1+1” and small spaced capitals in gold on matte black. The gilded serpent adds the only real texture, and its scaled relief contrasts with both the flat label and the glossy glass. Since it rests on the label, it also draws the eye to the one place where the product is named.
