Oraio is a world-class soy sauce produced at Domaine La Falize, a 270-hectare organic estate near Namur, Belgium, known for its uncompromising approach to agriculture, soil health and winemaking.
Brussels-based brand studio SUBSTANCE was brought in to translate this singular product story into a complete brand world.
Our work covered brand strategy and narrative, naming, visual identity, packaging, digital design, photography and film.
From the outset, the central challenge was simple: the product and its story were already remarkable. The role of the brand was not to embellish them, but to create an identity capable of living up to their depth, precision and sense of place.
The result is Oraio, a brand designed around the idea of terroir beyond wine. A meeting point between an ancient Asian craft and contemporary Belgian agriculture, expressed through a restrained identity that places provenance, materiality and time at its centre.
