Peanuts Take Root

Inspired by “落地生根”, this peanut products kit tells the Hokkien journey from Fujian to Nanyang and their settlement in Malaysia. The vintage suitcase symbolises the hopes, memories, and traditions carried by early immigrants seeking a new life.

Through three traditional products, the collection represents different stages of their journey. 贡糖 symbolises 南洋之路, reflecting their migration journey and the familiar flavours of home. 花生糖 represents 凝聚一心, expressing the unity and perseverance of the Hokkien community as they overcame challenges together. 花生饼 embodies 根深果盛, symbolising deep roots, fruitful growth, prosperity, and good fortune. Together, the collection celebrates the Hokkien community’s resilience, heritage, and lasting contribution to Malaysia.
