Apollo Coffee Works: Holiday Blend 2023-24

We designed the packaging for the holiday season limited edition roasted coffee beans for APOLLO COFFEE WORKS, a coffee roaster based in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

I collaborated with the illustrator Akira Muracco for this project. The design of this piece draws inspiration from the design styles of the 1920s-1930s, commonly referred to as the “between the wars” era, including influences from Bauhaus, Russian Avant-Garde, Art Deco, and similar movements. We updated these influences with a contemporary sensibility for the 2020s.
