I’m a Mumbai-born, New York-based visual designer whose work shifts between disciplines and visual languages. Rather than pursuing an aesthetic, I’m interested in creating worlds and artifacts that help make sense of the current moment.
My work often begins with interrogating the invisible scaffolding of the everyday: the technologies we adopt without question, the visual vernaculars we overlook, and the cultural shorthand that shapes how we see the world. I like borrowing from these familiar languages and placing them in unexpected contexts, using design to uncover new meanings and imagine alternate ways of living.
For me, design is both an act of observation and imagination. It’s a way of paying close attention to the present while creating spaces where alternate futures can be rehearsed. I hope to make work that encourages people to look again at what they take for granted, and to recognise that the worlds we inhabit are designed, and therefore can always be redesigned.more..
