Rafa San Emeterio (Santander, 1987) is a designer and illustrator. Founder and director of Fyero Studio, he holds a Higher Degree in Graphic Design from the Escuela Superior de Diseño de La Rioja.
He has collaborated with national and international agencies, leading art direction projects for clients such as Twitter Spain, the Government of Cantabria, Telefónica, the University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, and Banco Santander. His work has been featured in publications such as Yorokobu, HOW Design, 180hilos, The Dieline, DPI Magazine (Taiwan), Los Logos 8 (Gestalten), and WeTransfer, among others.
He has taken part as a speaker at ESDIR and at the Design Conferences of EASDi in Corella, and served as a jury member for the Álava Design Awards in 2018. Between 2018 and 2023, he taught the course “Icon Design for Digital Brands” on Crehana.
In the academic field, he has lectured in the Master’s Degree in Graphic Design at CESINE and, since 2021, has been a professor in the Master’s Degree in Illustration and Animation at ESdesign Barcelona, where he teaches Character Design and Vector Illustration.
In 2024, he received the TIPOS Award for the Proyect.IN visual identity in the Suma category and was selected for the Pelikanor Awards for best illustration applied to poster or outdoor advertising.
Since 2026, he has been the director of the Tipos design festival.more..
