GENTLE is the first release by CANDEGIN®, an Italian spirits brand operating at the intersection of design and visual culture.
The product is built around a deliberate visual contradiction: a premium London Dry Gin contained in a bottle that borrows from the language of household bleach. The reference is immediate, functional and anti-glamour: a shape taken from an ordinary domestic object and repositioned within the world of contemporary spirits.
The bottle is designed to create tension between familiarity and displacement.
At first glance, it recalls a plastic cleaning container. On closer inspection, the object reveals itself as something else: a glass bottle engineered to simulate the perception of plastic.
The concept of clean runs through the entire identity. It refers to the bleach-inspired visual code, but also to subtraction, control and clarity: removing decorative excess, avoiding traditional gin clichés and reducing the product to its essential visual form.
In this sense, clean is not only an aesthetic direction.
It is the method behind the brand.
The label system reinforces this shift. Instead of relying on traditional gin codes — botanical illustrations, heritage references or decorative luxury cues — GENTLE uses a clean, direct and controlled visual language.
The result is a bottle that does not try to look like a classic premium spirit. It behaves more like a designed object: functional, familiar, strange.
GENTLE is not a parody of a cleaning product. It is a study in transformation: taking something ordinary, reducing it, reframing it and making it iconic.
