CASAHANA’s Savory Cookies

My packaging concept for CASAHANA’s savory cookies is inspired by traditional porcelain ceramic bowls, aiming to bring Malaysian heritage into a contemporary snacking experience. The design balances cultural nostalgia with modern clarity, making the product feel both familiar to older generations and appealing to younger consumers who value authenticity, storytelling, and emotional connection.

To achieve this, each flavor—Cereal Prawn, Chili Crab, Curry Fish Head, and Satay—is represented by a central motif inspired by traditional food and ceramic patterns. Surrounding each motif are illustrations of the real spices used in the dish, highlighting the authenticity of the flavors while creating a bold, symmetrical, and culturally rich layout. This approach not only communicates the taste experience clearly but also evokes the warmth and pride of Malaysia’s culinary heritage.

The visual system is designed to be distinctive and engaging, with each flavor differentiated through color and pattern cues drawn from the dish it represents. For example, Cereal Prawn features warm golden tones, Chili Crab uses vibrant reds, Curry Fish Head incorporates rich blues, and Satay adopts bold earthy hues. These design elements reinforce the identity of each flavor while keeping the overall look cohesive, modern, and lively.
