Errantes – “The Wanderer’s Spirit”
We present Errantes Whisky — a new brand created for the Asian market, built around one central idea: freedom.
Errantes literally means drifters, but in this story the drifter becomes a hero. An explorer. A rebel. Someone who refuses to be tied down by the obligations of modern city life, always searching for space, movement and independence. A whisky for those moments where you step away from the noise — even if just for a while.
The challenge
The task was to translate this mindset into a strong visual identity that would immediately connect with the consumer, without over-explaining the story. A design that speaks through mood, character and atmosphere — especially within a premium Asian context.
Illustration as the hero
At the heart of the design sits a detailed illustration, printed directly onto the glass. The whisky is immediately linked to the protagonist of the story: a mysterious wanderer, walking away from the city and towards freedom.
On the right side of the illustration, a subtle urban structure is visible — representing the dense cityscape. The figure moves away from it, reinforcing the narrative of escape and self-direction. By printing the illustration directly on the bottle, the whisky and the hero become inseparable.
This project allowed us to push bottle printing as a design specialty. With today’s techniques, it is possible to print in extremely fine detail — even using gold tones that closely approach the richness of real foil. Black and gold form the core palette, supported by a subtle touch of red in the label, inspired by Asian premium aesthetics.
To keep the overall design in balance, the label itself was intentionally kept relatively calm and understated. While the illustration carries complexity and emotion, the label acts as an anchor — holding the brand name Errantes and framing the story rather than competing with it.
A whisky moment for yourself
The storytelling of Errantes is designed to connect with the consumer on a personal level. A whisky enjoyed as a moment of pause. A brief escape from the fast pace of city life. A reminder of freedom, independence and the space to wander — even if only in your thoughts.
