Mr. Sweetheart Apple cider

What is Mr. Sweetheart?
Mr. Sweetheart is a natural apple cider with a gentle character and a bright, lively taste, made from fully fermented apple juice without any artificial additives. It is a drink shaped by the history of traditional fermentation and careful attention to every step of the process. Its flavor ranges from romantically sweet to surprisingly dry and peacefully balanced — depending on the mood, the moment, and the person holding the glass.

Challenge
The main task of the project was to develop a brand identity, logo, and packaging that would convey the natural, handcrafted character of the cider. It was important to visually express the process of fermentation and the idea that cider is the result of time and human touch, rather than a mass-produced beverage taken from a shelf. We aimed to create an image that would not appear too “wine-like” nor overly industrial.

Solution
We chose illustration as the core visual language — soft, warm, and expressive. It reflects the organic nature of in-bottle fermentation, the craft of manual production, and the heartfelt personality of the product.
The identity revolves around the character of Mr. Sweetheart — a mood-figure who represents the three main flavor states of the cider:

• Romantic — sweet, gentle, and inviting for warm evenings.
• Surprisingly dry — for those who appreciate clarity of taste and a hint of boldness.
• Peacefully balanced — harmonious, quiet, and deep.

Through this, the packaging and visual style transform the cider into a mood, a story, and a moment — rather than just a drink.
