Inspired by his Italian grandparents, who immigrated to the United States in the 1950s, Dominic Ferraro created Casa Dell’Unknown—a luxury home fragrance brand with a modern aesthetic—to fill people’s homes with joy. His candles, hand soaps, and perfumes came to life after years of study in the fragrance industry.

Although an earlier attempt to launch the brand was put on hold when Ferraro’s daughter was born, 2020 provided the opportunity to reignite the flame. When in-person daycare became unavailable, Ferraro stepped in as full-time dad. His days were filled with kid-fueled fun; nights were spent letting the creativity and fragrances flow.

The initial collection features three unique fragrances. “Perfumery is time-consuming,” explains Ferraro. “Our future plans include expanding the product offerings and range of fragrances as well.” All Casa Dell’Unknown products are handmade with custom fragrances not found elsewhere. “All of our fragrances are developed in-house. Nothing is off the shelf, like many other fragrance companies,” says Ferraro.

Combining premium packaging with a luxury product was the logical next step for Ferraro as the new brand prepared to launch. Colorful maps from some of his favorite cities in Italy provide the backdrop on the tubes and each city is associated with a different fragrance. Ferraro initially considered a more standard candle box but decided the unique and luxurious look and feel of the Paper Tube Co. packaging was a much better fit. “These products are my passion,” says Ferraro. “I hope people enjoy them as much as I do.”
