Polymi: the Greek word for an artificial puddle, about 1 meter deep, used to gather wine must after feet pressing by villagers making wine in the traditional method in the old times. The minimal label design for a series of wines with this name by the Dasaklis family winery in the Peloponnese, uses a simple symbol that replaces the greek letter ypsilon in the brand name and at the same time suggests visually the traditional winemaking method as well as – what else? – a glass of wine.
