Cadre Wines

A “cadre” is a small group that unites to promote a greater cause. Cadre Wines is a collection of exclusively white wines grown within five miles of the Pacific Ocean, crafted to show the world that exceptional, light, and bright white wines can come from the cool climate of California’s Edna Valley.

Produced by John Niven, a winemaker with deep roots in the rolling hills of the SLO Coast AVA (and who was, in fact, instrumental to the AVA’s creation), each varietal represents a vignette of the vineyards and land from which it’s from. Inspired by the art of Joris Hoefnagel, each label uses beautifully surreal watercolor illustrations to bring each wine’s fanciful name to life and evoke the beauty found within the bottle.
