Distroya Spiced Spirit Label Rendered by Steven Noble

Chad Michael Studio commissioned Steven Noble in 2015 to create the “Distroya Spiced Spirit” label. This liquor is born from legend out of the Great North Sea and one that was fathered by a once mighty Viking king portrayed here in this illustration. It is an age-old and isle-born spirit of mythic proportions that is comprised of natural fruits, herbs, roots, and spices.  The illustration was created by hand in a scratchboard engraving style and screened into desaturated sepia tones along with a slight color parchment wash behind to give it that “aged-old” sophisticated and rich feel.
