What Remains Catalog Package

This catalog was meticulously designed and crafted as a limited series for the exhibition of What Remains at the Art Gallery of Guelph during the May 2024 Arts Everywhere Festival in Ontario, Canada. It consists of 8 booklets, each intricately capturing different facets of the showcase.

Our primary goal was to place the exhibition directly in the hands of the reader, inviting them to leaf through its pages while listening to Julio Morales’ composition via a QR code printed on the first page. Through sounds, poems, stories, interviews, narratives, and music, readers are immersed in the journey created to honor and amplify the voices of the migrant community.

The printing materials were selected with great care. Each type of paper and fabric represents different parts of the stories from various families. The cardboard and typography are based on letters used by the travelers themselves before crossing the wall. The colors, letters, photographs, and illustrations reflect the emotions of that journey.
