Ikaros olive oil

THE TASK

We developed a design for the label for olive oil of the American company Country Road. The product is a tall 750ml bottle of first class olive oil, originating from the Island of Crete. We made the decision to create a label with an illustration because every olive oil user is looking for the benefits, compared to the regular sunflower oil. The main benefit of olive oil is that there isn’t a refining process or any other chemical processes or additives. We used the illustration to show all qualities of the product – the manual collection of the olives, and the ecological place of origin and production. The people, dressed in clothes, characteristic for the past century, give a sense of tradition to the product and instill trust in the consumer. We added classic Greek ornamentation to accent the region of origin.
