Olea Jacta Est: Crafting an Olive Oil with Soul

Olea Jacta Est is not just an olive oil; it is the outcome of an ambitious and daring vision. Planting redondilla olive trees in the heart of La Rioja Alta, at 654 meters above sea level, with its long, harsh winters and short summers, is a challenge in itself. To make it even more extraordinary, the cultivation is entirely organic, requiring a delicate balance with nature.

Celebrating the Harmony of Nature and Cultivation

The unique circumstances of this project inspired us to design a label that represents the coexistence between the organically grown olive trees and the surrounding natural environment. The centerpiece of the design is a handcrafted illustration that narrates this harmony, capturing the essence of this exceptional product.

Linocut Technique: An Artisan’s Touch

To create the label’s illustration, we turned to the traditional linocut technique. This method imparts a raw, analog finish, where the intentional imperfections and artisanal marks stand in stark contrast to the sterility of digital perfection. The result is a richly textured image that resonates with authenticity, embodying the soul of a product deeply rooted in craftsmanship and nature.

Olea Jacta Est stands as a testament to the power of risk, artistry, and respect for the environment, reflected not only in its production but also in its packaging.
