Mel_Issa Organic Honey

Packaging Design & Brand Identity of a new Greek Organic Honey from Lesvos Island, Greece. It combines minimalism with a strong connection to tradition. The clean white label contrasts with the warm amber tones of the honey, emphasizing purity and authenticity. A central hand-drawn bee illustration, inspired by ancient Greek motifs, reflects the deep-rooted beekeeping heritage of the region. The typography blends modern clarity with a subtle nod to Greek tradition, reinforcing the product’s origins. The use of black and white, adds a premium look & feel, assuring authenticity, quality, and elegance — perfectly embodying the essence of organic honey from Lesvos.

The Story

“Beautiful like a flower, sweet like “méli” (honey in Greek) was Issa, the daughter of King Mákaras. The mythical ruler of Lesbos named the city that once loomed over the west coast of Kalloni Gulf after his child; “Issa” came to be the name of the whole island. Amongst those flowered hillsides, two gods, Hermes and Apollo, fell in love with the young princess. Amongst those flowered hillsides, till this day, we collect the sweetest fruit of their love: the flower honey, that bears her name: Mel_issa”
