DESIGN
Tría is a single-material cardboard band designed for ANFACO (National Cannery Manufacturers Association Fish and Seafood). It is a project designed under the lines of ecodesign that optimizes the environmental impact and material resources. The blue ranges are taken from the coat of arms of the Council of Vigo, location of the ANFACO headquarters. Its simple and forceful forms are a call to attention in a sector that traditionally has visual appeals closer to the figurative. The minimalist illustration style is extended to standard packaging, creating three series in total: sardines, tuna and mussels.
INNOVATION
It is proposed to package the product in cylindrical cans, providing a magnificent cubic capacity of space while creating distinction at the point of sale. The triangular shape of Tría is a visual attraction that makes the product stand out, creating an emotional bond with the user.
SUSTAINABILITY
The band wraps the cylindrical cans without any type of adhesive, since all the joints are made by clipping. In the graphic, based on the Pantone universe, only two inks are used, from which a third color is obtained through their plot. Recycled cardboard with FSC-C127362 certificate is selected from Antalis, a company with FSC-C101533 and PEFC 10-31-1120 certificates. At the end of the life cycle, the band is recycled and used as raw material for the manufacture of cardboard.
