Design Process Behind Chukks – Crafting a Bold & Irresistible Identity

The journey of creating Chukks was all about capturing the raw energy of Indian street snacking and transforming it into a visually fun, engaging, and memorable brand identity.

Understanding the Brand & Audience
Since Chukks is all about chakna on the go, I focused on designing an identity that reflects street culture, spontaneity, and the joy of indulgence. The challenge was to make sure the carts and packaging stood out in crowded street markets, attracting passersby instantly.

Creating a Striking Mascot
A key element of the brand’s personality is its mascot an expressive Indian man enjoying chakna. This character adds relatability, humor, and an emotional connection, making the brand feel lively and welcoming.

Color & Theme Selection
I used a bold and vibrant color palette, ensuring visibility and evoking an exciting, snack friendly vibe. These colors complement the street food culture while making the cart, packaging, and signage impossible to ignore.

Illustrations & Typography
I designed fun and quirky illustrations to enhance the brand’s playful personality. The typography is bold, slightly desi, and dynamic, reinforcing the energetic and casual feel of the brand.

Packaging & Visual Consistency
The packaging carries forward the same vivid storytelling, featuring the mascot, bold typography, and engaging visuals that highlight the fun and flavor packed nature of Chukks’ snacks. The goal was to create instantly recognizable, shareable, and appealing designs that make people excited to grab a pack.

Through this process, Chukks evolved into a bold, culturally rooted, and irresistibly fun brand, ensuring that every element from the cart design to the packaging works together to create a memorable chakna experience.
