Tropilite Foods, one of India’s largest suppliers of food ingredients to the baking and HoReCa industry, approached us with the goal of introducing a new range of premium, healthy products crafted for chefs and artisanal bakers. Our task was to build a distinct sub-brand and packaging system that would elevate Tropilite’s positioning while staying relevant to the realities of professional kitchens. To ground the project in real-world insights, we conducted qualitative research with chefs and bakers, learning that glossy, consumer-style imagery held little value for them. What mattered was clarity, trust, and consistency- packaging that communicates functional benefits quickly and supports fast decision-making in busy environments.
With these insights, we conceptualised a sub-brand called “Prime,” positioned around the Magician archetype, symbolising the chef’s ability to create extraordinary results from simple ingredients. The design system was built on a subtle beige foundation to convey naturalness and premium quality, with minimal top-view ingredient shots and a clear hierarchy of information to enable easy recognition. Subtle flavour cues and a strict design architecture ensured both differentiation and consistency across the range. The outcome is a sleek, future-ready identity and packaging system that combines elegance with practical clarity, helping Tropilite carve out a premium space while empowering chefs with products designed to serve their craft.
