Rest Cleaning Products

“Rest” is a cleaning product line that aimed to create a modern and environmentally friendly packaging solution for musical instruments and electronics. The system pushes to focus on the entire experience between all products with clear shape and form between what products function for what purpose with clear descriptors and visual indicators.

The Project

The project saw us developing a cleaning product line that heavily emphasized the focus on recyclable materials while developing visuals that not only went along with the product line but also embraced it. Before anything, the decision of material and form allowed me to see what structures, shapes, and sizes could be realistic or possibly have existing ideas that could bring this concept forward.

This led to the packaging being designed in a 3D software, which helped me experiment with the glass and the way light would bend through it and which metals would be most usable and affordable for production, with the final decision landing on the use of aluminium as the metal, which is featured on the tops and bottoms of each product.

The Final Product

This led to a visual system of a high contrast black and highlighter green that was kept simple and consistent through each product to really allow for the majority of the materials to be visible and be the main part of the visual design.
