Shifa Clay Masks

ABOUT

Shifa is a line of cosmetics for spa treatments inspired by rituals of the past. The brand has released a range of clay face masks based on traditional skincare practices. This product is designed for people who want to treat their skin at home in the same way as at a spa. Your daily skincare routine becomes a special ritual. The mask recipes are inspired by ancient practices, and the packaging is inspired by archaeology, hiding valuable recipes from the past.

SOLUTION

As there are a variety of clay mask types and this product requires a specific brush for application, I have created a set of different masks that includes a brush. Clay masks are packed into mini refill pots featuring illustrations of ancient masks. The box is made of recycled paper that resembles the sand of archaeological excavations, and the little white brush resembles an archaeologist’s tool. The ruler shows the intensity of the skin cleansing. The typography on the plastic shell is inspired by the style of tables and museum captions of exhibits.

RESULTS

The mini-format package, with its ancient mask illustrations and archaeological excavation design, creates the feeling of time-tested recipes that have been passing down through the generations. As a result, this type of packaging is practical because it contains different product variations and looks attractive on the shop shelf.
