Cask of Silence | Artisan Rum Bottle and Brand Identity by Kolam Creatives
Cask of Silence is a concept artisan rum brand built around one central idea: that the most extraordinary spirits come from deliberate isolation. The brief explored how packaging could communicate silence, craftsmanship, and quiet rebellion without falling back on the usual premium spirits visual codes.
The bottle uses a dark, weighted base that narrows into a slender neck. The form is meant to feel heavy and considered, not decorative. The label system works in deep charcoal and raw parchment, with hand-drawn typography and a seal motif that references the wax closures found on aged cask spirits. The overall feeling is something found rather than manufactured.
The target consumer is a 35 to 45 year old professional in India and the UK who drinks deliberately and distrusts brands that oversell their story. Every packaging decision was made with that person in mind.
Touchpoints developed include the primary bottle label, neck tag, gift carton, and retail point-of-sale material. All assets were developed as production-intent artwork. 3D visualisation was used throughout to validate bottle proportion, label placement, and material finish before any print-ready files were produced.
Note: Concept brand developed for portfolio. All assets are original creative work.
