QING XIANG JI YIBaijiu Packaging Design
This project explores a contemporary oriental expression for Fen-flavor Chinese baijiu.
The design uses a low-saturation cyan-green tone to reinterpret the temperament of “Qingxiang (清香)” — clean, transparent, elegant, and refreshing.
Instead of following the conventional visual language of traditional liquor packaging, the project emphasizes restraint, clarity, and breathing space through minimalist composition, subtle gold details, and frosted gradient glass.
The bottle combines a vertically ribbed structure with a calm and refined silhouette, creating a balance between rituality and modern simplicity.
A key narrative element is the removable postcard attached to the box closure.
Featuring handwriting, stamps, and postal details, it transforms the unboxing experience into an emotional interaction — like receiving a letter from a distant hometown.
Rather than expressing luxury through excess decoration, the project focuses on creating emotional value and a quiet oriental atmosphere through material, color, and storytelling.
