Madama Oliva, Italy’s leading producer of fresh packaged olives, introduces Special Jars, a premium collection of flavoured olives created to bring new Mediterranean taste experiences into everyday consumption.

The challenge was to design a packaging system capable of breaking away from the traditional visual codes of the category while celebrating the richness of each recipe.

The identity revolves around a bold Ó monogram, developed as the collection’s signature asset. Combined with bespoke illustrations, vibrant colour palettes and carefully selected ingredient compositions, the system allows every product to communicate its own flavour profile while remaining immediately recognizable as part of the same family.

Each colour represents a different sensory universe. Ingredients become visual storytelling elements, reinforcing the gourmet positioning of the range and creating a strong shelf presence in a category traditionally dominated by repetitive design conventions.

Rather than simply containing the product, every jar becomes a small celebration of Mediterranean flavours, combining premium perception, appetite appeal and immediate recognition.
