ABOUT
Still Life is a conceptual brand identity and packaging system created for an art café designed around slowing down, creating, and appreciating the beauty of imperfect moments. Inspired by sketchbooks, creative rituals, and handmade expression, the project explores how packaging can become an extension of the café experience rather than simply a container.
The identity balances raw creativity with thoughtful restraint, creating a calm visual language that feels expressive, approachable, and timeless.
SOLUTION
The packaging system translates the feeling of sketching into a cohesive visual identity through hand-drawn typography, simple illustrations, and intentionally imperfect compositions. Minimal graphics and monochrome packaging allow the expressive lettering to become the primary brand asset while maintaining a refined and contemporary aesthetic.
The identity extends across takeaway cups, coffee carriers, pastry boxes, stationery, posters, signage, merchandise, and supporting brand applications, creating a consistent experience throughout every customer touchpoint while remaining flexible across different formats.
RESULT
The final identity positions Still Life as more than a café—it becomes a creative destination where design encourages people to pause, create, and spend time intentionally. The packaging reinforces the brand’s calm, artistic personality while remaining practical, memorable, and instantly recognizable across both physical products and the wider brand experience.
