AETERNA VITIS Obsidian Noir wine case: three bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon and Saperavi blend from different vintages – 2018, 2020, and 2022.

Key design and positioning features:
Unified stylistic system. All bottles are designed in a strict black and gold color scheme – the deep black of the glass and labels, combined with gold trim, creates a sense of premium quality and understated luxury.

Color accents by year. Bright side panels are used to differentiate the vintages: violet-purple for 2018, red-pink for 2020, and blue-violet for 2022. This technique allows the vintage year to be instantly identified without having to read small text.

Graphic centerpiece. Each label features an abstract black element with a wave-like texture within a gold frame: it references the Obsidian Noir line name and imitates the texture of volcanic glass.

Typography and Information Hierarchy. The AETERNA VITIS brand name and the Obsidian Noir line are set in a simple sans-serif font; below are the grape variety and harvest year in a smaller font size. The logo, a stylized “Z” in a circle, is placed on the neck and in the center of the label, enhancing recognition.

Focus on terroir and blend. The use of Cabernet Sauvignon and Saperavi grape varieties emphasizes the origin and character of the wine: a combination of the structure and tannins of Cabernet with the fruity richness and spiciness of Saperavi.

Dynamics of the line’s development. Three vintages showcase the evolution of style in a single frame: consumers can compare how the wine’s profile changes from the more mature 2018 to the younger and more energetic 2022.

This case works both as a collectible offering and as a tasting comparison tool: a unified identity unites the products, while color markers and vintage year help quickly navigate the selection.
