Badaboom Baby Care

Badaboom is a concept packaging design for baby hair and body care, designed around a question the category rarely asks: what if the product was designed for the child, not the parent?

Most baby hygiene packaging borrows visual cues from clinical, adult-facing design — soft neutrals, restrained typography, minimal color. Badaboom takes the opposite approach, translating the bath itself — loud, splashy, saturated with joy — directly into the packaging language.

The bottle’s oversized bubble lettering doubles as illustration, with a smiling character face built directly into the wordmark. The design draws on eye-tracking research showing that children fixate on color and character before anything else, and can identify faces and animal shapes even out of reach — making the packaging legible and desirable to its youngest audience, not just its buyer.

Saturated color-blocked variants (Gentle Wash, Happy Change, Cuddle Cream), a rounded, toy-like bottle silhouette, and bold graphic type combine to create packaging built to be picked up, played with, and recognized — a toy that happens to hold shampoo.
