Raza is a Saudi hospitality brand built around the tradition of generous banquets and the cultural importance of gathering around the table.
The packaging direction was developed to make the brand experience visible before the meal is even served. Instead of treating packaging as a functional container, the system turns every box, bag, wrap, and gifting piece into part of the Raza experience.
The identity is centered around a custom Arabic logotype that gives Raza a distinctive and recognizable presence. Its contemporary construction creates a balance between Arabic character and modern brand expression, supported by a simple Latin wordmark for bilingual applications.
A geometric visual language was developed alongside the logo. Circles, diamonds, and modular compositions form a repeatable pattern system that gives the packaging a strong visual rhythm. The motifs can be expanded, reduced, rearranged, or used independently, allowing the same identity to work across different packaging formats without becoming repetitive.
The color palette is rooted in the sensory world of the dining experience. Warm brown and terracotta tones reference food, wood, and traditional materials, while golden yellow introduces richness and warmth. Soft beige provides balance and allows the darker colors and graphic elements to stand out. The palette is supported by a deep brown that adds depth and structure to the system.
The packaging system uses these elements as a visual architecture rather than simple decoration. Different surfaces carry different combinations of the logo, patterns, and color fields, creating variation while maintaining a consistent brand signature.
The boxes were designed with a strong repeat pattern that allows the packaging to become visually recognizable as a collection. Branded bags and gifting applications extend the same language into the moments surrounding the meal, while smaller printed pieces introduce more intimate expressions of the brand.
This approach allows Raza packaging to perform two roles simultaneously: protecting and presenting the product while communicating the generosity, quality, and hospitality associated with the brand.
The result is a packaging system designed not only to contain a meal, but to become part of how the meal is received, presented, shared, and remembered.
