More than a century ago, at the heart of a secluded estate surrounded by oak trees and ancient stonework, a man nurtured an idea then considered madness: to produce only Merlots capable of standing the test of time.

As fashions changed and blends dominated the conversation, the Cluset family remained devoted to a single pursuit: revealing the purest expression of Merlot.

Each vineyard plot was tended like a treasured garden. Every harvest underwent rigorous selection. Only the finest grapes entered the cellars.

The years passed. The estate’s reputation grew quietly, away from the spotlight.

Then came the idea of creating a collection: cuvées united by the same exacting standards, yet distinct in personality, each represented by a colour, an emotion and a moment to savour.

And so, the Great Merlots of Château Cluset were born.

CLUSET AZUR — The Turquoise Label
Elegance

Inspired by the blue silks of French drawing rooms, this is the Merlot of distinction, refined conversation and fine dining, where nothing is left to chance.

Tasting notes: Wild blackberry, blackcurrant, violet, sandalwood and fine cocoa.

Motto: “Grace has no need to draw attention to itself.”

CLUSET RUBIS — The Purple Label
Passion

The most intense cuvée in the collection. Deep, sensual and generous, it evokes illuminated theatres, velvet curtains and great love stories.

Tasting notes: Black cherry, candied plum, dark chocolate, sweet spices and liquorice.

Motto: “Time reveals what fire has created.”

CLUSET ROSE IMPÉRIALE — The Powder Pink Label
Grace

The rarest of them all, produced only in the finest vintages. It celebrates the perfect balance between power and delicacy.

Tasting notes: Ripe raspberry, rose petal, blueberry, fine vanilla and a subtle hint of truffle.

Motto: “True nobility is a whisper.”
