CCXC: A label with a location, a story, and a touch of delightful chaos.
In the back of a warehouse, CCXC was born: a Brazilian gin created by Tank Brewpub that pays tribute to the space where friends gather to share life, repair old cars, and savor dry martinis.
The name? 290 in Roman numerals, reflecting the address where it all began, infused with scents of grease, stained cloths, and ice-cold glasses.
In a collaboration that has flourished for over six years, we were invited to design the label.
Rather than adhering to the prevailing trend of a “premium and sophisticated” visual style that dominates the market, we chose to delve into the world of industrial tools. We experimented with raw materials, embracing the charm of grainy textures throughout our design process. This approach not only sets us apart from the polished aesthetics commonly found in the industry but also gives rise to a label that honors the spirit of the warehouse: an essence shaped by lively conversations, shared sips, and the hum of an open engine.
Each bottle features a piece of ink-stained cloth, underscoring the authenticity of the concept and ensuring that each piece is unique.
