Prompona Citron Dry Gin

Inspired by the vibrant, sun-drenched landscapes of Naxos, Greece, Promponas Citron Dry Gin bridges a century-old distilling legacy with a fresh, contemporary Mediterranean aesthetic.

The design concept, masterfully brought to life by the design agency FOODWILL, centers around the island’s rich history of artisanal craftsmanship. The label mimics traditional Mediterranean ceramic tiles, featuring intricate floral flourishes, rich terracotta tones, and deep cobalt blues that evoke the architecture of the Cyclades. The grid lines on the turquoise background give the illusion of authentic mosaic tiles seamlessly wrapped around glass. At the center, bold, tactile gold foiling catches the light—mirroring the reflection of the Greek sun on the Aegean Sea. It is a bottle designed not just to sit on a shelf, but to stand out as a piece of functional art. As seen in the bottle design for promponas Citron Dry Gin, the family-owned Promponas Distillery has been perfecting the art of traditional distillation in the heart of the Cyclades since 1915. For over a century, their identity has been deeply intertwined with the unique agricultural treasures of Naxos. With their latest creation, Citron Dry Gin, the distillery honors its heritage while capturing a modern global palate. Tasked with capturing this rich history, FOODWILL developed a packaging design that beautifully reflects the craftsmanship inside the bottle.
