Caterer’s Tumbler Drinking Glass Set

These packaging concepts were developed as part of a Packaging Design course at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. The assignment challenged students to create a drinking glass brand from the ground up, including brand strategy, visual identity, and retail packaging design.

For this project, I developed a packaging system for a caterer’s tumbler drinking glass set. The process began with market and audience research to better understand the needs, preferences, and purchasing behaviors of hospitality professionals and consumers seeking durable, functional glassware. Insights from this research informed the development of the brand identity, including the logo and visual language, with a focus on communicating quality, versatility, and modern design.

The final solution features packaging for a six-piece glass set, incorporating both an exterior retail carton and a protective interior structure designed to safeguard the product during transport and display. The resulting package balances functionality with shelf appeal through a clean, contemporary aesthetic, clear product communication, and a strong visual presence intended to stand out in a competitive retail environment.
