Cooking is an act of memory-keeping. It is a deeply rooted, shared ritual that connects us back to our ancestors and the soil. When redesigning the “From Grandpa’s Garden” tomato sauce series for Kontos S.A., we refused to create just another commercial label. We wanted to build a bridge between the rustic warmth of Greek heritage and a fresh, contemporary spirit.

We treated each flavor profile as a vivid celebration of the earth’s raw yield. By preserving the iconic grandfather portrait at the very heart of the identity, the packaging becomes a vessel of honesty and generational trust. Paired with vibrant, hand-drawn vegetable illustrations and transparent glass jars that let the sauce speak for itself, every jar tells a story of sun, soil, and homemade authenticity.

Balanced with clean, modern clarity and a distinct chromatic signature using expressive reds, greens, and golds the visual identity honors the nostalgic warmth of the traditional harvest. It is design operating as a guardian of heritage, turning an everyday culinary essential into a handcrafted celebration of Greek flavor and craftsmanship.
