MANIFESTO
A wine that sets a statement
Award: Vinitaly Design Award 2026 – Best Sustainability
Manifesto is a wine born from a clear and deliberate shift. Tenuta Cocci Grifoni chose to introduce a wine made from a resistant grape variety, moving beyond native grapes and traditional classifications.
This decision required more than a name or a label — it required a position. The project started from this need: to translate an agricultural and technical choice into a coherent system of identity.
The concept is rooted in the idea of a manifesto — a concrete statement of intent.
SOLUTION
The packaging system is designed as a direct extension of this positioning.
Every element is reduced to what is necessary to support the concept, removing anything decorative or redundant. The bottle surface and materiality are left to carry part of the expression, while the graphic intervention interacts with them rather than covering them. The system avoids traditional layering and focuses on essential construction, where each component has a defined role within the identity of the wine.
RESULT
The result is a packaging system where concept and production are aligned through reduction rather than addition. Instead of introducing visual complexity, the design clarifies the nature of the wine and its positioning.
Manifesto becomes a physical statement of a production choice, expressed through a restrained and coherent system.
